Relocation of West Ten GPs (Golborne Medical – Dr Razak) to new larger premises on Kensal Road
Dr Razak’s team are excited to announce plans for the GP Surgery to relocate around the corner to 175-177 Kensal Road, W10 5BJ. We hope to move in mid-2024.
Just 350 yards away, these new, much larger premises are on the ground floor of the new building on Kensal Road between Holmfield House and Emslie Horniman Pleasance Park, still within RBKC Borough.
The new Surgery Entrance will be on the corner of Kensal Road and Bosworth Road, facing the park.

The Surgery will continue to operate as now in the new premises, but with double the space:
- More clinic space for Doctors, Pharmacists, Nursing staff and other visiting NHS services
- Dedicated consultation and treatment rooms for allied Physiotherapists, Massage Therapists, CBT Counsellors etc., as well as for group consultations and therapies
- A Front Area Community Space for initiatives to promote local physical, social and psychological health.
- You tell us!
The move will not result in any changes of staff and patients will not need to re-register with the Surgery. All medical records are electronic and will transfer to the new site. Dr Razak has created a dedicated team to ensure the transition runs smoothly without interruption in services and also to answer any of our patients’ questions.
A big “thank you” to all who came along to

Frequently Asked Questions
We have put together a list of common questions & will update these again when we receive your patient feedback responses & after the patient engagement events. We hope these are useful.
175-177 Kensal Road, W10 5BJ. Just 350 yards away, this will be only a few minutes walk from our current premises at 16 Golborne Road, W10 5PE. It is currently under construction, located between Holmfield House and Emslie Horniman Pleasance Park. We have attached a map at the bottom of this page.
The move will take place around late Autumn 2023. We have a team dedicated to working on moving the surgery as efficiently as possible to make sure that on the official opening day, all our operating systems and staff are ready to provide the best care for our patients. We believe this move will be very good news for our patients, with double the space allowing for additional services & initiatives.
In addition to a text directing patients to this page, every registered patient over 16 will receive a letter by mail, so that all patients are fully informed about the move to the new better premises.
Yes, you will remain registered once we move premises and you do not need to do anything. As a patient of West Ten GPs – Golborne Medical, you will automatically continue to receive General Practice services that we offer.
Yes, we will keep the same telephone number (0208 964 4801) when relocated to the new premises which you can call Monday-Friday between 8:00 to 18:30 if you have any enquiries about your health.
We will continue with our triage booking system which we have been using for the past few years. You can find out more information on the home page where there is a helpful video that explains how our surgery works if you are unsure. Access to appointments is always reviewed to ensure that we can meet patient needs where possible.
Yes, all our Doctors, Nurses, Pharmacists, Health Care Assistants, Reception and Admin team will be moving with us.
No, the process to order medication will remain the same. The easiest and quickest way to request repeat prescriptions is by using your online account. Patients’ nominated pharmacies will also not change.
Yes – We have 2 main tube lines nearby
• Westbourne Park (Hammersmith city & Circle line) – 8 min walk, buses available.
• Queens Park & Kensal Green (Bakerloo line)
PLUS a variety of buses available in the area: 23, 18, 28, 288, with a direct connection from Notting Hill, and the bus stop Bosworth Road is directly outside the new building.
Yes, parking (both pay & display and resident only) is available immediately outside the vicinity and on nearby streets of Kensal Road, Bosworth Road, Adair Road and Hazelwood Crescent, with certain bays designated for blue badge holders. Step free access to the building and clinic rooms will be a standard feature throughout the building for those with mobility needs.
As there will be more clinical space in the new premises, this should mean more availability for appointments, services, and new staff! We will always try to provide appointments with your preferred clinician when possible, to support a personalised approach to care, and maintain our easy access approach for more urgent queries.
Although the new Centre is larger and will offer more services, we will continue to provide a high level of personalised care, with all our current team based in the new premises as well as more staff members being employed to help our patients receive the highest level of care. A high level of planning is going into ensuring the transition is smooth and the facilities are there to enhance the patient experience.
As you may be aware, the current building from which we operate is shared with another GP Surgery. Once we vacate the building, Dr Ramasamy’s surgery will take the vacant rooms.
Since the new premises will be well over double the size of our current space, we hope to be able to offer more patient appointments with all the services we currently run as well as more services in general for the benefit of patient health and wellbeing.
As well as Doctors, Pharmacists & Nursing staff, we currently we offer a range of services such as having a diabetes specialist available, Physiotherapy, CBT counselling, Massage therapy, ECG’s, and many more. We also have a range of Community initiatives in place to support good physical and mental health in conjunction with the local Borough.
We continually look at gaps in the services we provide, and welcome feedback from patients. If this is something you are interested in, please do join our Patient Participation Group!
As soon as we have updates ready, we will post them here on the website. Do also attend the patient engagement sessions in February, which we will send out joining instructions for in due course. Here is the playback from one of the sessions
We are really keen to build the centre around our patient’s needs and want to hear your thoughts. Please do complete the questionnaire, attend the patient engagement events or write to us at the email address above. If you have any specialist skills that you think you would like to contribute, eg in art & design, we would be really appreciative if you wished to lend these to the Premises team. Our Student Doctors are also running an art competition for all ages, please see details below.

Art Competition
Research shows that art can promote well-being & reduce stress. We really want to make our new site a bright and welcoming community space for our patient population and are running an art competition in conjunction with our Imperial College undergraduates to decorate the new premises, with the theme of “What Does Community Mean to You”. If you are not arty, try taking a photograph or send a written quote or poem. Click here or see below for how to submit.
